On August 3, 2024, 18-year-old Naod Welday was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Mount Olympus trailhead in Holladay, Utah. Welday and two of his friends were sitting in a car in the dark parking lot just before 4:30 a.m. when they were approached by four attackers.
