In the early morning hours of October 7, 2024, a confrontation on a Salt Lake City highway escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 50-year-old Hispanic male, Jose Ramirez. The events unfolded around 5:20 a.m. on eastbound state Route 201 in West Valley City, beginning as a road rage incident.
