In the winter of 2017, the life of 39-year-old Cedric Roy Craft, a Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in Waterloo, Iowa. On the evening of December 11th, authorities received a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Courtland Street. When officers arrived at the scene around 8 p.m., they found Craft inside the home, critically injured from a gunshot wound to the head.
