A quiet evening in the small community of Lyman, Iowa, was shattered by a tragic incident that resulted in the death of 22-year-old Chase A. Jones. On Thursday, July 11, 2019, the Cass County Sheriff's Office received a call about a shooting at a residence on Lyman Street and deputies responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m. Jones, a White male from the nearby city of Atlantic, was found with a gunshot wound.
