In the late afternoon of May 20, 2022, a tragic event unfolded in West Phoenix that ended the life of 41-year-old Hector Antillon Acosta, a Hispanic male. Just before 4 p.m., Phoenix police received a call about a shooting near 91st Avenue and Campbell Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Acosta suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency services transported Hector Antillon Acosta to a local hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Phoenix Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
As detectives delved into the case, they were able to identify a suspect in the shooting. Their investigation led them to 39-year-old Robert Segobia, for whom they developed probable cause for an arrest. Subsequently, law enforcement located and took Mr. Segobia into custody in connection with the death of Hector Antillon Acosta. While an arrest has been made, authorities have stated that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
