In the summer of 2014, a quiet Tucson home became the scene of a heart-wrenching discovery that brought a violent end to the life of 50-year-old Guadalupe Alvarado. The grim scene was uncovered on a Thursday morning in July when her adult daughter returned to the residence. Inside, she found both of her parents, Guadalupe Alvarado and her 51-year-old husband, Elmer Frisby, deceased.
Authorities from the Tucson Police Department were called to the home, and their investigation soon pieced
together the tragic sequence of events. It was determined that the incident was a homicide-suicide. Investigators concluded that Elmer Frisby had shot his wife, Guadalupe Alvarado, before turning the gun on himself. A handgun was recovered near where their bodies were found. The investigation did not lead to any outside suspects, as the evidence pointed solely to Frisby as the perpetrator in the death of his wife before he took his own life.
