In the spring of 2016, a gathering of friends and family at a home in south Phoenix, Arizona, turned into a scene of tragedy. On the evening of April 16th, Kyree Stewart, a 27-year-old Black man, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of 7th Street and Baseline Road, where a large group of people had convened.
