In the fall of 2016, a violent encounter in Phoenix, Arizona, claimed the life of Israel Espino, a 42-year-old man. The incident, which unfolded on November 4, 2016, also left another individual, Espino's 20-year-old nephew, Jose Sanchez Hernandez, wounded. Both men were discovered with gunshot wounds.
