Demetrius Jolly, a respected Marine and former drill instructor, tragically lost his life on a Saturday night in October 2017. Jolly was a veteran who had served with the Third Battalion 5th Marines, known as "Darkhorse," a unit that suffered significant losses during the war in Afghanistan. Despite surviving the intense combat, Jolly's life was cut short in a non-combat incident on home soil.
