In Flagstaff, Arizona, a 54-year-old Caucasian woman named Lynn Free died on March 21, 2017. Her death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Prior to her death, authorities had been in contact with her. Officers from the Flagstaff police department, accompanied by a behavioral health technician from Terros Health, had visited her home to conduct a welfare check.
