Robert Sykes, a 44-year-old man from Phoenix, Arizona, was tragically killed during a violent crime spree on June 4, 2017. The incident occurred at a motel where Daterryn McBride, a 28-year-old individual, opened fire in the lobby.

During this horrific event, McBride shot a total of five people, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including Robert Sykes. Another guest at the motel also lost their life in the shooting.
