On July 1, 2017, Robert Sorensen, 81, and his wife Martha Sorensen, 75, were found deceased in their home in Sanders, Arizona. The Apache County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Sorensen residence after family members requested a welfare check due to unanswered phone calls. Upon arrival, deputies observed a bedroom window damaged by gunfire, prompting them to force entry into the home. Inside, they discovered the bodies of Robert and Martha, both having suffered apparent gunshot wounds.
