In the early morning hours of April 6, 2019, the life of 37-year-old Sean Michael Bartnik, a Caucasian male, was tragically cut short by gun violence in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident unfolded at a Motel 6 located near the I-17 and Indian School Road. Phoenix police responded to a call of a shooting at the motel at approximately 1:45 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers were directed to a room where they discovered Bartnik unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting remain part of an ongoing investigation by the Phoenix Police Department, and the motive behind the attack has not been publicly released.
