In Phoenix, Arizona, a young man's life was tragically cut short in an act of violence that shook his community. Diego Martinez, a 30-year-old man, was fatally shot on August 21, 2019, when he returned to his apartment to find it being burglarized. The incident occurred in the vicinity of 15th Street and Van Buren, where responding officers discovered Martinez with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
