On February 2, 2020, a tragic incident occurred during a traffic stop in Kingman, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including 50-year-old Kelly Susanne Nickolson.

Kelly Susanne Nickolson was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Kyle Don Axtell, also of Kingman. The vehicle was pulled over by a state trooper, who during the traffic stop, discovered that both Axtell and Nickolson were wanted in Colorado on felony warrants related to drug crimes.
