In the early evening hours of a spring day in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 35-year-old William Mathews Jr. was tragically cut short. On April 11, 2020, Mathews was found with a gunshot wound near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Maricopa Street. The quiet neighborhood was shattered by the violence that unfolded just after 6 p.m.
