In the early morning hours of August 18, 2020, a shooting on Tucson's South Side left 32-year-old Christopher Moreno, a male, dead from gunshot wounds. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a Motel 6 located at 1010 S. Freeway Road. At approximately 9:15 a.m., officers from the Tucson Police Department were called to the intersection of West 22nd Street and South Osborne Avenue, where they discovered Moreno unresponsive and with apparent gunshot trauma.
