In the small, rural community of Chloride, Arizona, a confrontation rooted in past allegations ended in the deaths of two individuals, including 57-year-old Bryan Dean Drake. On the evening of September 28, 2020, Mohave County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a residence on Palo Verde Drive after a neighbor placed a call for assistance.
Inside the home, they discovered the bodies of Drake and 61-year-old Robin Rae Hammontree.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly led detectives to three young adults from the nearby town of Golden Valley. On September 30, 2020, authorities arrested 19-year-old Dustyn Wade Walsh, 20-year-old Johnny Ford Parsons, and 19-year-old Tyler Susanne Reed in connection with the killings. According to investigators, the trio had gone to the victims' home to confront Drake about unspecified allegations from several years prior.
