In the winter of 2021, a young life was abruptly cut short on the streets of Phoenix, Arizona. La’Braye Q Franklin, a 23-year-old Black/African American male, was killed by gun violence on February 11th of that year. Remembered by those who knew him as 'Banked Up Benji,' he was a father, a son, and a brother, with a personality described as vibrant and inspiring.
