In the early morning hours of March 24, 2021, a simmering dispute between two former friends in Phoenix, Arizona, culminated in the tragic death of 32-year-old Michael Jude Montanarella. Montanarella, a White male, was fatally shot in an encounter that took place around 5:30 a.m. near 28th Street and Greenway Parkway.
