In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 29, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet in a Phoenix, Arizona neighborhood, leaving a family devastated and a community searching for answers. The life of 33-year-old Noah Martinez was tragically cut short in the incident, which unfolded at approximately 4:57 a.m. near the 2600 block of North 43rd Avenue.
Two other individuals were also struck by bullets during the attack and were left in critical condition, their lives forever altered by the violent encounter.
Emergency services responded to the chaotic scene, but despite their efforts, Martinez succumbed to his injuries. His death was the result of a fatal gunshot wound, a stark and brutal end to a life that his loved ones remembered as vibrant and full of love. In the wake of his death, his wife, Sabreena Martinez, expressed the immense sadness and void left in the hearts of their family, including their children. To help with the unexpected funeral costs, a GoFundMe campaign was established, where friends and family shared their memories of a man with a big heart who was always willing to help others.
The Phoenix Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the shooting. Authorities have described a suspect in the case as a Black male with his hair styled in small braids with the sides of his head shaved. As of now, investigators are still seeking information from the public regarding the incident, and no arrests have been announced in connection with the murder of Noah Martinez. The case remains an open and active investigation, with a reward of up to $1,000 being offered for any information that could lead to an arrest.
