On March 16, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in a home near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of several family members, including Isaias Tovar Sr.

Isaias Tovar Sr., aged 62, and his wife, Delia Noriega, aged 66, were among the victims who died at the scene. The shooting began around 6:45 p.m. and was perpetrated by a family member, identified as Gilbert, who had been drinking and making suicidal statements prior to the incident.
