On the night of March 12, 1993, Yasir Omar, a 7-Eleven cashier, was fatally shot while working at the store in the 3100 block of Mount Pleasant Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred around 10:35 PM in what seemed to be a targeted attack. Despite investigations by the Metropolitan Police Department, the case remains unsolved, and the authorities have continuously sought public assistance to gather any information that might lead to an arrest.
