On that Saturday, at approximately 1:20 a.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department received a 9-1-1 call about a shooting in the 2300 block of Alpine Lane. Upon arrival, officers discovered Daemon deceased in the backyard of a residence from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

A few hours later, at around 5:45 a.m., Beckwith was located and taken into custody by police in Parker, Arizona. He was found sleeping in his vehicle and was subsequently charged with first-degree murder.
