In the early morning hours of April 4, 2021, the life of 37-year-old Stacy James Hakes, a male former resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was tragically cut short. Hakes was the victim of a homicide that occurred in the 400 block of Sunfield Drive, where he was fatally shot. The incident prompted an investigation by the Lake Havasu City Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit.
As detectives delved into the case, they identified a primary suspect, 36-year-old Brian William
Robinson, also a resident of Lake Havasu City. A felony arrest warrant was issued for Robinson, who is known by the nickname 'Tree.' He is described as being 6 feet 4 inches tall with short brown hair, green eyes, and a distinctive physical feature: an amputated right arm. His body is adorned with multiple tattoos on his chest and arms, including the word 'BERDOO' tattooed across his stomach. At the time the warrant was issued, Robinson's whereabouts were unknown, though authorities believed he might be in the Tucson, Arizona area.
The investigation also led to the arrests of two other individuals for their alleged roles in aiding the suspect after the murder. On April 12, 2021, the Lake Havasu City Police Department's SWAT team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2600 block of Hacienda Place. Following the search, detectives arrested 31-year-old Adeline Rea and 44-year-old Ramon Canas, both residents of Lake Havasu City. They were each charged with accessory to murder. During their initial court appearances, both Rea and Canas were held without bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
