In the late hours of an August evening in 2021, the life of Cameron Lindsey, a 20-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Glendale, Arizona. On August 7th, just weeks before he would have celebrated his 21st birthday, Lindsey was found with gunshot wounds in the vicinity of Glendale and 67th avenues. First responders and medical personnel fought to save him, but the injuries he sustained proved to be fatal.
His sudden death left a void in the lives of his family and friends, particularly for his infant daughter, who was only eight months old at the time.
Cameron was a young man with aspirations and a creative spirit. A 2018 graduate of Desiderata High School in Phoenix, he was passionate about music and was actively pursuing a career as a rap artist under the stage name MillyKash. He had already produced music videos and albums, and to further his ambitions, he had enrolled at the University of Phoenix, where he was about to begin courses in business. His family remembers him as a beloved individual whose presence could light up a room. Beyond his music, he was an active member of his church community, having played the drums at the Fountain of Life church where he was baptized.
The aftermath of the shooting has been a painful journey for Lindsey's loved ones. His mother, Sophia, has voiced the deep grief and anger her family feels, emphasizing that the circumstances of his death do not define the son she knew.
