In the late afternoon of July 24, 2016, the life of 27-year-old Job Dennis was tragically cut short in Glendale, Arizona. A man known for his love of laughter and willingness to help others, he was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of 63rd Avenue and Northern Avenue. The Glendale Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 4:30 p.m.
and discovered his body at the scene.
Witnesses at the scene reported hearing the sound of several gunshots ring out before seeing a dark-colored sedan speeding away from the area. Despite this initial lead, detectives were unable to get a description of the suspect or suspects inside the vehicle. In the immediate aftermath, the Glendale Police Department and Silent Witness offered a reward for any information that could lead to an arrest in the homicide case.
A year after his death, the investigation remained ongoing with no suspects identified. Job Dennis's family, including his mother Carolyn Riley and brother Joshua Dennis, spoke out, remembering him as a high school football star and homecoming king who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. They described the daily pain of their loss and pleaded with the public for any information that might bring them closure and justice for Job. As of late 2024, there have been no public updates regarding any arrests or the identification of any suspects in the murder of Job Dennis.
