On the evening of Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona, a fatal encounter cut short the life of 35-year-old Michael Anthony Herber. At approximately 5:22 p.m., Herber was inside his vehicle at 7007 W. Indian School Rd. when an altercation with an unknown individual escalated with tragic consequences.
The dispute ended when the suspect fired several shots at Herber, inflicting wounds that would ultimately prove fatal.
After the shooting, the assailant quickly fled the scene in what authorities have described as a black 4-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler 200. Michael Herber succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators with the Phoenix Police Department have been seeking information from the public to help solve this homicide. The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s, standing approximately 5'8' tall and weighing around 145 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing all black clothing and a black hat with a white logo.
As of now, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting death of Michael Herber. A reward of up to $2,000 has been offered for any information that leads to a breakthrough in the investigation.
