On March 21, 2022, 21-year-old Chris Kerry McCrimmon was fatally shot in the parking lot of an IKEA store in Tempe, Arizona. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. and was reportedly linked to a drug transaction. McCrimmon met with Isaiah Williams, 18, and a 17-year-old accomplice, later identified as Saif Woods, for a marijuana sale. The meeting escalated into a physical altercation, during which McCrimmon was shot. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
