On a Wednesday night in the fall of 2018, the lives of two young men were tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. Henry Matus-Sanchez, a 26-year-old Hispanic male from Tempe, Arizona, was killed on November 21, 2018. The shooting, which also claimed the life of 25-year-old Marco Alvarez Jr., unfolded in the neighboring community of Guadalupe. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office was alerted to the violence at approximately 9:00 p.m., responding to calls of shots fired in the area.
