On the evening of April 13, 2022, a shooting occurred at an apartment complex in west Phoenix, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Yenso Estrada. The incident took place near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. Police were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Yenso Estrada with at least one gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by fire officials or Phoenix paramedics.
