On April 24, 2022, a tragic shooting occurred at the Sonoran Apartments in Casa Grande, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of 18-year-old Leslie Cota and 17-year-old Danielle Murrieta. Leslie Cota was found inside the apartment and was declared dead at the scene, while Danielle Murrieta was airlifted to a hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
