On October 5, 2017, 29-year-old Crysta M. Proctor was tragically killed in a violent encounter in Casa Grande, Arizona. On that day, her estranged husband, Alec Javier Perez, and an accomplice, Rodney Ortiz Jr., arrived at her apartment. The violence began outside the residence where a man was shot. Perez then forcibly entered Proctor's home by kicking in the door.
