On June 28, 2022, 50-year-old Darren VanHouten and his longtime partner, 73-year-old Retta Atkins, were found deceased in their residence on Dilligaf Road, east of Kingman, Arizona. The discovery was made by law enforcement officers conducting a welfare check. Both individuals were victims of a double homicide.

Atkins was the founder and owner of The Gold Lady, a business in Golden Valley that provided gold prospecting and mining equipment and also engaged in buying and selling gold. Va ...Read More
