In the quiet desert city of Bullhead City, Arizona, a winter visit turned into a scene of unimaginable tragedy. Karee Pauline Rowell, a 64-year-old woman from Cromwell, Minnesota, was spending time with her cousin, Trisha Lynn Wallin, at Trisha's home. The two were joined by Karee's fiancé, 64-year-old Timothy Wayne Albright, also from Cromwell. They had plans to meet with neighbors on the evening of Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Concern grew when the trio failed to show up for their engagement and were not responding to texts. The concerned neighbors went to Trisha's residence in the 500 block of Riverview Drive to check on them. Peering through a window, they made a horrific discovery and immediately called for help. Inside the home, law enforcement found the bodies of Karee, Trisha, and Timothy.
Investigators determined that Timothy Wayne Albright had shot and killed his fiancée, Karee Pauline Rowell, and her 58-year-old cousin, Trisha Lynn Wallin. After taking their lives, Albright turned the gun on himself. All three individuals were found with gunshot wounds to the head. The motive behind Albright's violent actions remains unknown to authorities.
Karee was a beloved figure in her hometown, known for her contagious laugh and vibrant personality. She had worked as the Deputy City Clerk for Otsego, Minnesota. Her death, alongside her cousin, at the hands of her fiancé, sent ripples of shock and grief through their communities in both Minnesota and Arizona.
