On January 30, 2023, a 48-year-old Mexican man named Gabriel Cuen Buitimea was shot and killed in southern Arizona. The incident occurred as Cuen Buitimea was attempting to cross into the United States by walking across a 170-acre ranch owned by George Allan Kelly, a retiree. It is almost certain that Kelly was the one who shot Cuen Buitimea.
