In the late hours of Sunday, March 1, 2026, the quiet of a Nogales, Arizona neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire, leading to the tragic death of 49-year-old Isaac Bautista. Officers from the Nogales Police Department were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Monte Carlo Place at approximately 10:47 p.m. following reports of shots being fired in the residential area.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered Isaac Bautista inside a room at the location, suffering from
gunshot wounds. Despite any efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident marked another instance of gun violence in the border city.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, police arrested another man at the scene in connection with the fatal event.
