In the early morning hours of a Tuesday in October 2016, 32-year-old Royces Givens, a dedicated FedEx employee, was fatally shot while sitting in her car at a Roma Mart gas station in South Memphis. Known to her friends and loved ones as 'Cici,' she was a hard worker with a good spirit. The incident, which marked the city's 182nd homicide of the year, occurred shortly before 4:00 a.m. at the gas station located at the intersection of East Mallory and South Lauderdale.
