On a summer day in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of a young Black woman named Latisha Harris was tragically cut short. The 28-year-old female's story took a dark turn on August 5, 2013, when a gruesome discovery was made in the waters of the Mississippi River. Her body was found locked inside a garbage container that was seen floating down the river near the harbor.
