In the late morning hours of Sunday, February 26, 2023, a violent encounter in Phoenix tragically ended the life of 26-year-old Alejandro Jaques. The fatal shooting occurred near Bethany Home Road and 27th Avenue, shattering the quiet of the weekend.
Following the incident, a man directly involved in the shooting approached Phoenix police officers at the scene and surrendered, admitting his role in what had transpired.
Simultaneously, Jaques was rushed to a local hospital by three other men, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
