On March 11, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred at an apartment complex in Tucson, Arizona. The incident took place shortly before 2:40 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Benson Highway. When officers from the Tucson Police Department arrived, they found 40-year-old Marte Alcorn with a gunshot wound. Despite attempts to save his life, including life-saving measures by the officers until the Tucson Fire Department arrived, Alcorn was pronounced dead at the scene.
