Nixon Petit, a 50-year-old security guard from Phoenix, Arizona, was fatally shot outside a business on the morning of May 20, 2023. The incident occurred after Petit was involved in an argument outside the premises where he was working.

When police officers responded to the reports of the shooting, they found Petit suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
