A road rage incident that began on the streets of Goodyear, Arizona, tragically escalated to a fatal shooting at a QuikTrip gas station on December 2, 2023. The victim was identified as Eric Manson, a 44-year-old White/Caucasian male. The altercation, which started as a traffic dispute, ended with Manson losing his life.

The conflict between Manson and another driver culminated in a violent confrontation at the convenience store located near the intersection of Dysart Road and Van Buren Street. It was there that the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Rael Croft, allegedly shot Manson. Goodyear police responded to a shooting call at the gas station and discovered Manson with fatal injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries hours later.

Following the incident, law enforcement officials took Rael Croft into custody. He is accused of killing Manson in what authorities believe was a senseless act of violence stemming from road rage. The investigation led to Croft being booked on a murder charge, bringing a swift arrest in the tragic and unnecessary death of Eric Manson.
