On March 10, 2024, a tragic shooting incident occurred at Snedigar Sportsplex in Chandler, Arizona, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Jaylan Montrell Collins. The incident happened around 9 p.m. near the northwest end of the park, close to Alma School and Chandler Heights roads. Police responded to reports of shots fired and found three teenage victims, all between the ages of 16 and 17, who had been struck by gunfire.
