In a tragic turn of events on the evening of March 10, 2024, 16-year-old Jaylan Montrell Collins, a Black male from Queen Creek, was fatally shot at the Snedigar Sportsplex in Chandler, Arizona. The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. near the northwest end of the park, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered three teenage victims who had been shot.
