In the summer of 2010, a dedicated police officer's life was tragically cut short during a dangerous undercover operation. Carlos Luciano Ledesma, a 34-year-old male officer with the Chandler Police Department, was killed on July 28, 2010, in Phoenix, Arizona. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he had served with the department for three years, leaving behind a wife and two children.
