In the early evening of July 2, 2024, the life of 42-year-old Efrain Luna Jr., a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in a shooting on the west side of Tucson, Arizona. Though some initial information incorrectly cited Phoenix as the location, the incident occurred in the 1700 block of West Ajo Way, just east of South Mission Road. Around 7 p.m., Tucson Police officers were dispatched to the area following reports of a shooting.
