In the summer of 2024, a quiet neighborhood in central Phoenix was disturbed by a violent crime that left a community searching for answers. On the afternoon of July 15th, police were called to a residence in the vicinity of 8900 North 3rd Street following a report of a shooting. Inside the home, they discovered the body of 68-year-old John Sleeth, a male resident who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
