John Realpe Montoya, aged 29, was tragically murdered on April 25, 2008, in Adelphi, Maryland. His death was not a random act of violence but a calculated execution carried out by members of the Latin Kings street gang. Montoya was shot to death in a residential neighborhood near the University of Maryland's tallest buildings. The murder was orchestrated by Erick Roman, the leader of the Latin Kings' Royal Lion Tribe in Maryland, and carried out by Chinua Shepperson, who pulled the trigger.
