In the early hours of October 10, 2015, a journey with a promising destination took a tragic and violent turn in Omaha, Nebraska, ending the life of 23-year-old Arelius Hassell, a Black male from Indiana. Hassell, an aspiring rapper known to his friends as "Skrill" or "Relis," was traveling with his friend, Malquan King, and a man named Michael Nolt.
