In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 23, 2019, the quiet town of Douglas, Nebraska, was disturbed by a 911 call originating from a residence at 100 Otoe Street. Responding Otoe County Sheriff's Deputies arrived to a grim scene. Inside the home, they discovered the bodies of 56-year-old Randal "Randy" Grimes, a White male, and 51-year-old Annette Grimes. Both had died from apparent gunshot wounds in what was being investigated as a double homicide.
